September Long Weekend

We use to measure our rain in tenths or mm's
But now every third night it rains close to a inch
or more

For September long weekend things are very green
Most years at this time the grass is pretty much brown
and were done cutting

Peas & Canola are swathed and waiting
for combine

Pumpkins are turning orange but small
because too much rain and no heat

The grass is thick and full like carpet
We cut it every three days
