Christmas 2018

Because of the kids' schedules, we had "Christmas Eve" on
Dec. 22nd this year.  Then today we went to the Chessalls
for a visit, coffee and some great food.

Annual Get-to-gether and candy exchange

Glad the "20 Somethings" were able to get together
during the short while the family was home.
Such a great group!

Birthdays

For the last Kids' Klub before Christmas, we
had a birthday cake for Jesus.  One of the kids
asked how old Jesus was....ummm, infinity? 2018? hmmm...
The pictures below are a bit easier.  Betty celebrated her
85th birthday, while Vi celebrated her 90th.

Grace

I borrowed the above picture from Elwood and Lorraine.
Grace told one of the staff that she was "going upstairs"
and then she went.  Isn't that just how she'd say it too!!
We are thankful for the care she
received over that past ten years at
Weyburn Special Care Home.
They held a service of remembrance
for three of their residents last week
and I think the staff really did enjoy
having Grace "keep watch" over
all the activities that took place each day.
Thankful for all the memories we all
have of Grace!

Thanksgiving 2018

So...no thanksgiving at the farm this year, sadly.

Saturday included pumpkin carving, DQ cake for
Kelsey's 22nd bday and a night of smoked ribs,
friends and games.

Sunday we had a turkey meal together with family.
Very fun to have Glenn, Allan, and Evan join us.
Judy also made an appearance!!!
We had a little impromptu piano/violin concert as well.
(Thanks for being good sports!)

We just had to do "When He Cometh"
even though we didn't have the music or words.
A Larson Cousins special!

On Monday we went shooting out at
Dylan's place.  The girls stayed warm in
one of Dylan's old vehicles - very comfy seats!
Dylan showed us his home as well.
