Things we never learned in school

Most of you know that we having been
dealing with cancer in our family for the last
several months.
Terry's dad was diagnosed with lymph node cancer
and went through chemo treatments
 in Regina over the winter.

This spring and summer he was
getting lots of fevers and would
end up in the emergency room in Estevan
and either spend the day on IV or be admitted there.

Almost three weeks ago,
he went into Estevan emergency, was admitted,
and a week later transferred to Regina Pasqua
where he has been since then.

We have found out the cancer spread in
his body and there is no
possibility of more chemo in his weakened state.

Last Sunday he was up sitting in a chair,
with Terry giving him bites of a donut,
and by Monday he was unable to swallow pills,
food or anything and
barely able to talk at all.

We didn't know that when he walked into the
Estevan emergency room, he would never
be back to his bed, or his arm chair,
or see his garden grow.

Through this journey, especially this past couple weeks,
we have met many great care workers,
patients, and been surrounded by the love
of so many caring friends, and so
many prayers.

Thank you for your love and care.
God is good all the time...All the time God is good!
