Note that this post does not include pictures.
Pictures are something that makes Grace...
I'd have to say...mad!
Recently Kelsey & I went to visit Grace and
took her a little angel with wings that light up
as she sings "Silent Night".
First she said "Get that out of here".
But after we pressed the button and played the song,
she really loved it and said "the nurses will think
that's me singing"...and we played it again and again.
Last week Mom and Dad joined her for a
Christmas Lunch where residents could invite 2 guests.
They didn't know if she would go, or if they'd be
sitting there by themselves, but she went
and actually really enjoyed it.
As they were sitting at the table in the dining
room, Grace kept a commentary going about
what was happening around them.
Here's just one example:
"There's a girl - I'd like to stomp on her"...
No, she didn't laugh after...just a statement of fact.
Four things you don't do when you visit Grace:
- turn up the volume on her TV
(she has it on 24/7 with no volume)
- turn the ringer on her phone
- take her picture
- open her curtains
