Really, it's another God story.
I got Grace's birth certificate and now can send away for her old age pension....just needed her signature. So I went to the care home and asked for 'Al or Penny' because they both assured me they would be able to get Grace to sign the form!
They told me Al was working the afternoon shift, so I went back about 4pm and found Al. I waited at the desk while he went to ask Grace - and he came back very soon. The nurses all said "Look at his face, he didn't get it"....Then he showed me the signature on the paper - nice and neat and everything. I was speechless - that NEVER would have happened if I had gone in and asked for it - NEVER.
(she would have said "GO HOME!")
The nurses were as surprised as me and said "We need to
put him in charge of her baths!" (I agree!)
All in all, Grace is doing pretty good. Her new meds seems to
make her more alert and responsive.
And yes, Becky, she still pulls out that great laugh
every once in awhile!
