A fun day of 'girls' yesterday! We had some of Kelsey's friends for lunch before they headed to the music festival. Then for supper we got to enjoy some time with Emily who was visiting from Ontario.
It was a thrill to have "house guests" at the fort we worked on this winter! With melting temperatures, not sure how much longer we'll be able to entertain here, but it was fun to have visitors in the afternoon...and evening!
The kids at Youth Group recently made cookies and cards to give out at a nursing home. The next day we went to each room to deliver cookies and a card with a gospel message enclosed. So many stories...the seniors loved it so much that young people would take the time to think of them... A small thing to us....but meant so much to them! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - PS...today I went to Grace's "Care Conference", where staff, the doctor and pharmacist go around the table and share what's new and their goal for her for the coming year. Nothing has changed since last year... - she doesn't come for meals unless she wants to - she doesn't want a bath - she doesn't join in on any activities (But....she DOES respond well to chocolate bars!!)
