O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
(Psalm 139:1-3)
A couple weeks ago when I went to see Grace,
I got there later than planned.
GOD had a reason for that...
It so happened that the Psych doctor
made a visit to Grace WHILE I was there.
He let me stay and observe their conversation.
It was SO interesting to hear her explain
to him (in 800 words) where she grew up...
"Midale" would have been the short answer.
I got to visit him and thank him for trying a new
medication because she is so much more responsive.
That doesn't mean she will take a bath or
that she's cooperative, but it does mean that
she will go to some meals and will visit.
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well...
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth
your eyes saw my unformed body..
(Psalm 139:13, 14, 15b)
As I think of being 'knit together
and woven together',
I can't help but think that Grace's yarn
is not as stretchy as most!
She is not really flexible especially if
anyone wants something!
I recently went to her room because I
need a copy of her health card and/or
birth certificate. I went in with a
worker that she likes, but the response to me
was, "GO HOME!" (not in a quiet voice).
BUT GOD puts just the right people
in place when we pray...and today
the staff was able to get complete
cooperation from her.
I got her health card so that
I can apply for a birth certificate
so that I can apply for her pension.
(And they are confident that they
will even be able to get her to
sign the form! Do pray, though!)
God is so good!
